A different way of doing policy research
PEP has developed a unique research “Grant Plus” support program that empowers local experts in developing countries to produce high-quality scientific evidence, while successfully engaging with policy stakeholders and decision-makers.
Events in 2019
Training
Through PEP online courses, in-class workshops and study visits, world-leading experts provide advanced training in a broad range of methodologies, concepts and skills to strengthen capacity of developing country researchers throughout the Global South.
Dissemination
Discussing PEP research worldwide through PEP-sponsored national policy conferences and high-level international conference presentations.
PEP meetings
PEP organizes international gatherings to discuss development policy research issues and agenda, while providing advanced training and peer-review to selected developing country researchers.
New projects
In 2019, PEP selected 20 new projects for support under two innovative programs to strengthen policy-oriented research in Africa. All projects are conducted by, or in direct collaboration with, local government institutions.
